Fortune 500 has produced a list of the 100 best companies to work for in the world for the past twenty years. Within these twenty years, Google has made eleven appearances. Within these eleven features, the company has been ranked first place six times. The tech giant is worth $75 billion but unlike some soulless rich corporations that exploit its workers and make them miserable, Google makes its working environment a home away from home. Some may argue that it’s even better than any home.
Fortune 500 has a survey that assesses the opinions of workers and their feelings in relation to several issues. One of the first questions is, “What do you want in a workplace?” The truth is, human beings spend more time at their job sites than they do in their homes. It is therefore important for the workplace to be equipped with facilities that enable employees to be as comfortable as possible.

Google understands that making workers happy enhances productivity. The company houses so many perks from free haircuts to laundry mats and gourmet food restaurants, to highly important benefits like well-paid maternity leave. This company is also very inclusive in its outlook and it works to foster this idea through town hall meetings held by black Googlers and allies. This workplace also protects minority rights such as respect for transgender workers. It also pays attention to the groups that might be unconsciously discriminated upon in order to engender inclusiveness. Other companies that are within the top 10 include Wegmans Food Markets, The Boston Consulting Group, Baird, Edward Jones, Genentech, Ultimate Software, Salesforce, Acuity Insurance, and Quicken Loans
Within the twenty years that Fortune 500 has launched this list, some companies have made an appearance every time. The twelve companies that have faithfully been featured on the twenty lists include Cisco, Four Season Hotels and Resorts, Goldman Sachs, Marriott International, Nordstrom, Publix, REI, SAS, TDIndustries, Wegmans Food Markets, Whole Foods Market and W.L. Gore & Associates. These companies are noted for giving their employees some great perks. Companies that have made it on to the list for the first time are Pinnacle Financial Partners, SAP America, Delta Air Lines, Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, and AT&T.
