By now, we’ve all heard stories of bright, engaging entrepreneurs who start new, incredibly profitable businesses from places like their parents’ basement. However, have you ever heard of one of these entrepreneurs having the same kind of success from their van?
It sounds unusual, but that is the story of Mariah Coz, who created a 7-figure income out of a business that she started inside her thirty-five square foot van. She shared the van with her boyfriend as they traveled around the country, and it was under these circumstances that she came up with her big idea. The more you learn about this idea, the more you will likely want to learn about the process that brought her to the point in which she realized she had something extremely successful on her hands.
Meet Mariah
For about a year and a half, Mariah and her husband lived from their van and traveled across the United States. They spent their time visiting every state in the country and Mariah considers hiking in Yosemite and checking out Yellowstone to be amongst her favorite experiences. It was during this time that Mariah was able to take the subject of living healthily and successfully inside a small, vintage camper, and turn it into a successful online course. Things quickly gained momentum from this point.
As the course became more successful, Mariah found herself receiving questions about how to run a successful online business. Considering the circumstances under which she made her business succeed, it certainly makes sense that people would want to pick her brain. This is where she got the idea to create Femtrepreneur, which is designed to help people take unique talents, personalities, and circumstances, and turn them into successful online businesses.
Steps For Success
Mariah recently did an interview in which she outlined her tips for having a successful online business within a lifestyle that may not inherently lend itself to this concept. Here are a few simple things that virtually anyone can keep in mind:
• Stay flexible: Obviously, if you are going to run a successful business from a position of constant transition, you’re going to need to be flexible. You can create goals and guidelines, and you can use your surroundings to define what you can and can’t do, but you still need to remain as flexible as possible. You just never know what life will throw at you.
• One day a week: Choose one day a week in which you know you can get anywhere from five to eight hours of work completed. Try to schedule as much of your work as possible, including calls and meetings, for this particular day.
• Less is more: When you have an extremely finite amount of resources, particularly in terms of time, it can be a smart idea to focus on high-impact activities, while cutting out everything that just isn’t relevant.
• Be realistic: Your lifestyle is going to create demands and obstacles that you can only deal with up to a point. In other words, if you want your business to be successful, then you need to maintain a mentality that strives to be realistic. When the demands and obstacles become more than you can handle, to the point in which your business and everything else begins to suffer, then you may need to change your goals.
• Mobile-friendly market: In this day and age, mobile marketing is a really big deal. For those who have to make their entrepreneurial dreams come true under challenging conditions, such as living and traveling on the road, mobile marketing is going to prove to be absolutely vital.
Making Remarkable Things Happen
As you can imagine, the following tips mentioned above are designed to work with a wide range of personal and professional demands. If you find yourself dealing with challenging circumstances over and over again, the solution is often to look for ways to work within your circumstances.
